Laurie is an accomplished event planner, communications and alumni affairs professional. In her work, she drives efforts to engage with diverse stakeholder groups on behalf of schools/colleges/universities, religious organizations, and corporate organizations.

She specializes in public relations, volunteer management and board management. Her experience is both broad and deep in all areas of communications to include digital, print and social media. She has leveraged her programming expertise to co-chair state and regional conference planning committees.

Laurie is a Virginia Tech graduate and member of the Public Relations Society of America (PRSA) and the Council for the Advancement and Support of Education (CASE). In her free time, she enjoys attending sporting events and concerts.
